Gratitude

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Gratitude instantly shifts us to a place of peace and loving. Be grateful for all the good you have in your life. Even if there are challenges or things in your life that you are less than ideal, be grateful for the fact that you are now in the process of changing them. By being thankful you are acknowledging that what you desire on some level already exists, and your intention and feelings of gratitude will help manifest your desires that much sooner. Expressing gratitude for all the love in your life can become a daily practice. Each night before bed you can make a written, verbal, or mental list of all the things that you love in your life. Include a few things on the list that happened that day, no matter how challenging your day may have been. Remember, like attracts like. Dream Home: Bringing Your Dreams Into Your Home

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

You can realize dreams with the help of your home. Your home may support you, inspire you, and become the vehicle through which you manifest your goals.

It is just as common to focus on looking back, dwelling on the past, reminiscing, or imagining how we would have done something differently. But in fact, life happens in the present moment. Life is in the pauses, and the in-betweens on the path to somewhere, and in the process of getting things done. Life is now. (more…)

Zen Affirmations: A New Look at Affirmations

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

As you may already know, positive affirmations are statements that when said repeatedly can be used to increase self-esteem or manifest goals. As someone who believes strongly in positive thinking, the concept of like attracts like, the power of intention, and the idea that our thoughts create our reality—the idea of affirmations always made sense to me. Yet, somehow the application didn’t always work. I often found that I would say the affirmation, but not really believe it. In fact, my true feelings and self-doubt just became more painfully, and glaringly obvious. I would say or write the affirmation, but underneath be doubting myself and, in my opinion, sending the doubtful energy out into the universe and ultimately negate what I was supposed to be affirming!
